Back by popular demand...Field School's Summer Reading Program!

Our theme this year is Book a Trip, Ticket to READ! We need your help to fully support the summer reading program. Please find a time to have your child read or be read to every day. Our goal is to have every student at Field School participate.

At the end of the school year each student received a reading bag. You will find the details of our summer reading program in this bag, along with a bookmark and magnet. We've even included a new book to get everyone reading right away.

Here is how the program works:

• For the months of June, July, and August, your child should simply record the number of minutes he or she reads daily on the calendar. At the end of each month total up your minutes and record them on the back of the record sheet.
• At the end of the summer, add all of the minutes read together, and record the total on the back of the calendar sheet. Every student should return the Book a Trip, Ticket to READ! record sheet to school no later than Friday, August 27.

We have included a list of books that you may want to find for your child to read this summer. Please don't feel limited to this list. Remember, our ultimate goal is to keep your child reading over the summer and to instill in all Field students the love of reading.

The Field Staff would like to thank everyone for supporting our Pop Into Reading days this year. The money from this program, along with a generous donation from the PTO and staff at Field School, paid for all of the materials sent home at the end of the year.
